Biography
As a sustainability consultant at Quantis, Jean-Baptiste spent the last 5 years helping companies measure, understand and reduce their environmental footprint. He manages numerous projects related to water footprint, water risk assessment, water stewardship, but also Ecodesign, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), ecodesign, Total Cost of Ownership and sustainable sourcing, .
He likes to develop tangible and customized solutions helping companies making sustainable decisions, based on science and metrics. He also likes to deploy broadly these solutions and to engage people on the sustainability journey.
He joined Quantis after 4 years spent at Veolia Environnement in the Evaluation of Environmental Services area. He headed the development of the water footprint methodology called “Water Impact IndeX” and deployed it across various Business Units. He also directed several LCA studies related to water treatment.
As an expert in the area of water sustainability metrics, he directed the French expert group (AFNOR) to draft the 14’046 ISO standard on water footprint and participated in the Water Use LCA working group in the UNEP SETAC Life Cycle Initiative. He currently remains heavily involved in expert groups related to water stewardship assessment.
